Exploring a New Medical Device Model and New Development Pathways

On November 28, 2024, the Organization Department of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce held a special training program themed “Developing New Quality Productive Forces and Promoting High-Quality Development of Functional Zones.” The newly invested medical device CDMO platform of Qingdao Lujian Health Technology Co., Ltd., together with the globally exclusive Class III innovative medical device project “TroClose 1200 Automatic Puncture and Suturing Device,” was selected as a key on-site teaching site.

On the same day, more than 40 leaders in charge of key functional zones from the Qingdao Municipal Finance Bureau, Audit Bureau, Development and Reform Commission, Science and Technology Bureau, Qingdao Customs, the People’s Bank of China, Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Statistics Bureau, Taxation Bureau, and other departments visited the Sichuan Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. R&D incubation platform in Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone.

During the event, Mr. Zhao Lin, CEO of Qingdao Lujian Health Technology Co., Ltd., and Mr. Roi, CEO of Gordian Surgical Ltd., delivered speeches. The representative of Sichuan Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. then gave a comprehensive introduction to the first medical device CDMO platform in western China. The delegation later visited the company’s office area, laboratory area, R&D center, production workshop, and other core departments. The modern office environment, intelligent R&D equipment, and rigorous, efficient workflows left a deep impression on the delegation.

They noted that the visit was one of Qingdao’s key initiatives to promote industrial upgrading and optimize the business environment.
