On the afternoon of March 18, the clinical demonstration application launch meeting for TroClose 2.0 was successfully held at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University Qingdao Campus. More than 40 participants, including directors from the Departments of Gynecology and Urology and project team members, attended the meeting.
TroClose 2.0 is a globally exclusive Class III minimally invasive surgical device. Lujian Technology has exclusively introduced the original Israeli technology and achieved domestic substitution. The product received FDA approval in December 2025 and has been successfully applied in the United States. This launch marks the first clinical demonstration application of this internationally leading device in China, supporting the upgrading of laparoscopic minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment.
TroClose 2.0 is a unique Class III laparoscopic trocar and suturing device that synchronizes “puncture and closure” in a single operation. It adopts an innovative 180-degree suture deployment system to form a half-loop knot structure. Compared with the traditional full-loop knot, this structure can reduce tissue tension by up to 75%, enhancing operational convenience and lowering overall costs while ensuring surgical safety. Clinical application expectations indicate that the product may reduce the incidence of incisional hernia from the conventional 7% to 0%. With its exclusive structural design, stable performance, and single-use sterile standard, the product is suitable for various laparoscopic procedures and fully meets clinical infection control requirements.
The product has a comprehensive and robust global intellectual property portfolio, with industry-leading technical barriers. Thanks to the outstanding performance of the upgraded 2.0 version, it has completed multicenter clinical applications in the United States and received high recognition from overseas experts. It has also established in-depth cooperation with Allegheny Health Network (AHN) and Intuitive Surgical, further validating its technical maturity and clinical value.
At the launch meeting, the minimally invasive surgery expert team of the Qingdao Campus of Shandong Qilu Hospital and the project team held in-depth discussions on product technology, operating procedures, international application experience, and domestic implementation plans. Experts noted that TroClose 2.0 directly addresses key clinical pain points, and its localization in China will promote the development of laparoscopic surgery toward greater efficiency, precision, and safety.
This launch meeting represents an important milestone in the localized application of TroClose 2.0 in China.
